The ICAST has
become a tradition in recent years in the Greater Chicago area. This annual
international conference provides a technical forum for scientists,
researchers, industrial practitioners as well as policy makers to exchange
ideas, share research findings with the aim to promote cross-field interactions
and collaborations among academic and industrial participants. The main theme
for ICAST 2006 is “High Technology and Quality of Life”. This theme emphasizes on new
technologies whose applications will have substantial potential to improve the
quality of people’s life. The expanded program has 4 tracks. The tracks and related topics include (but
are not limited to):

The conference language is English, and the technical
section of the meeting will include two parallel sessions to accommodate the
four tracks outlined above. Each session will consist of 3 to 5 seminars
presented by selected / invited speakers. Those interested in conducting a
seminar in the forthcoming gathering are requested to submit an English
abstract of 200-400 words. Each submission must include the title, the author’s
name, affiliation, mailing address, email, and telephone numbers. Please make your
submission in electronic form via email as embedded plain text or as an
attached MS Word file to either of the Technical Program Chairs at the
following addresses no later than July 30, 2006. Selected speakers will be notified by August 25, 2006.
